DELIVERING A BETTER OUTDOOR DOG PARK FOR SUNSHINE WEST

30 October 2026

The Carroll Labor Government will be upgrading a local outdoor dog park in Sunshine West.

Member for Laverton Sarah Connolly today announced that the Government will commit $275,000, to be delivered in partnership with Brimbank City Council, to deliver much-needed upgrades to Collenso Street Dog Reserve.

To make Collenso Street Dog Reserve more welcoming and inclusive, this project will add shade shelters, seating, drinking fountains, sensory elements, and a dedicated area for small, elderly, and shy dogs.

These upgrades will encourage longer visits, safer play, and stronger connections between dogs, owners, and the local community.

This project was originally nominated as part of the Carroll Labor Government’s Pick My Park program.
